What Is Cash Finder System and How Does it Work?
When you first arrive at the sales page of the Cash Finder System website, you will see a countdown timer above the video. It makes it look as if time is running out to take up their deal, but just ignore it. Time won’t run out. It’s just a sales tactic to get people to take action. Take your time.
This platform is all about earning finder’s fees for real estate deals. In a way you’re kind of like working as an agent, or even an affiliate. You browse the homes for sale in your area, negotiate a price with the owner, then go out and see if you can land a buyer for the property. You give the buyer a higher price than what the owners are willing to accept and you pocket the difference.
So yes, it’s exactly like being a real estate agent except you don’t officially have that title.
I’m not even sure if this is legal. I mean, you match up the buyer and seller so they can do the deal. Then what? You need to bring on board a conveyancing lawyer to take care of the transaction, and somehow slot yourself into the contract as a finder so you can pocket your fee.
Although being a finder for real estate or anything else can be a real gig, the problem I find with the Cash Finder System is how much they exaggerate everything. They make it all sound so easy, like you just sit in front of a computer, find a buyer and seller, match them up and bank the finder’s fee.
As a finder you are acting in the role of agent, and that’s a very time consuming profession, with a lot of arduous unpaid hours that go along with it. And that’s not to mention all the competition from other highly experienced, veteran real estate agents out there.
I’ve done real estate and I have friends in the industry. It really is not that simple. Far from it.
Here’s how Cash Finder sell it:
- Very little work required (cough)
- Work from home
- No selling required
- Checks are delivered to your door
- No training or education required (another cough)
I say I’d have to disagree on just about all of those points. You definitely need some training, and there’s no way it’s all going to be a simple “work from home” gig. You’ll be out and about all the time checking out properties and wheeling and dealing. It almost sounds like the person who created the Cash Finder System has never had anything to do with buying and selling real estate before.
Where I come from you can’t buy, sell, or even match up people for real estate deals without a Realtor’s Licence.
Target Audience
I guess this is targeted at people who are looking for a home-based business of some sort. Maybe you want to escape the work grind, or you are looking for a profitable side gig that fits in with your current routine. This could work with an existing job.
Tools and Training
This is where it gets kind of funny. They say you don’t need any education and training to be a real estate finder, but does the Cash Finder System offer anything in the way of training?
Yes they do. 12 modules of training, in fact.
The training is a mixture of videos, as well as the transcripts from the videos so you can peruse them as notes. You can learn at your own pace, so no pressure.
As far as tools go, there is a resource centre on their website. This helps you find real estate in your area to target. Cash Finder System also provide members with sales scripts and letters to generate those all-important leads.
Some of the training includes things like:
- The basics of real estate and industry terminology
- Finding homes to sell
- Negotiating deals
- Marketing
- Finalising deals
What I Like
- It’s an interesting concept
- Could work as a side gig
What I Don’t Like
- The information they provide is exaggerated and misleading
- Real estate takes a lot of work and many unpaid hours
- You won’t simply be sitting at home on the computer. You will be out and about visiting with people constantly
- You may need a license to do this in your area
- There is a lot of competition in real estate
- This is all way, way harder than Cash Finder make it out to be
- The real estate business isn’t for newcomers with no experience. You’ll quickly be chewed up and spat out by the veterans
- Real estate is more successful when you have established relationships within the industry and have valuable contacts
How Much Does Cash Finder System Cost?
You need to purchase the Cash Finder System for $99. There are likely other things you will need to spend money on, one of the major ones being fuel for your car with all the driving around you will be doing.
Is Cash Finder System a Scam?
No, it’s not a scam, but it also portrays the real estate industry in a rather unrealistic light. The Cash Finder System over-simplifies how things really are in this business. Negotiating successful real estate deals, amid a catfight of competition, is extremely hard work.
With this system you are playing the role of real estate agent anyway, so you might as well go out and get proper training, become a licensed agent and do the business for real. You’ll get more respect and feel far more confident about what you are doing.
I’d give the Cash Finder System a miss in all honesty. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
