Sell Health – A Review
An Overview of the Sell Health Affiliate Program
The company as been around for a long time in internet terms, having started up way back in 2003. As I personally have a site in the Health & Beauty niche I have first-hand experience regarding affiliate programs related to the niche. I rate Sell Health as one of the better Health and Beauty affiliate programs in the game.
On their website they rate themselves the number one, but I guess we all like to think of our business as being top dog.
One of the product ranges this company specialise in is sexual health for both men and women. These include supplements to increase libido, serums for added arousal and products for sexual dysfunction.
In fact, they have quite a number of products that claim to help improve sexual performance for males and females of all ages. There are even devices for penis extension.
On offer is a good range of quality beauty and anti-aging products; more aimed at women, but items for men as well. Sell Health also cater for hair care products, a solid range of weight loss and dieting pills, digestive health, men’s and women’s health, and the occasional free trial offer.
On the downside, the product sales pages look a bit spammy and the prices of the products are very high.
This is an easy site to navigate and get your head around the offers as there aren’t thousand to look at. Also, Sell Health is just the one vendor, unlike places like Commission Junction where there are thousands of different vendors.
On sites like CJ you have to individually apply to be an affiliate of every single vendor, then wait up to several weeks to get a yes or no from said vendor. The sign up and approval process at Sell Health is quick and easy, with an approval virtually straight away.
You don't have to try and gain approval from every product vendor before you can promote a particular product. Once approved by Sell Health, you can freely promote all vendor products on their website.
Commissions on Sell Health products are generous, and that’s one of the biggest drawcards for me. The payouts vary from product to product, and what you receive will depend on whether there are any upsells taken advantage of once the customer is on the product’s landing page.
Most of the commissions on Sell Health are in the 30% – 40% range. Some even above 50%. So, pretty darn good. They pay out commissions twice a month too, which is also very handy. Who wants to wait months to get paid?
There is a fairly good reporting system to track clicks and leads and sales. Affiliates can even set up custom link tracking so they know exactly where their sales leads are coming from to determine what promotions are effective and which ones are duds, or need further work.
Another encouraging point about this company is the affiliate referral system they have. An existing affiliate can refer another affiliate to sell their products and Sell Health will pay the referring affiliate 5% of all sales the referred affiliate makes. The 5% comes out of Sell Health’s cut, not the new affiliate's commission. I just wanted to make that point clear.
Each product line has many promotional resources for the affiliate, with all different-sized banners, text links, articles and website screenshots. Plenty there to work with.
Support is a little slow in responding to queries and issues.
Also, many of the products don’t have any prices on their landing pages, which can both be a little off-putting to the potential purchaser, as well as making it hard to get an idea of what the affiliate’s commission on the sale will be.
I also think their product range could be expanded just a little, as a few of the products actually sound like the same thing, but just with different labeling.
Sell Health University
At the Sell Health University you can watch quite a few video tutorials that teach you about affiliate marketing in general, and more specifically about how to market Sell Health products. There are also written tutorials as well. These videos can be very beneficial to watch and I do recommend you watch a few if you decide to sign up as an affiliate with them.
Sell Health pay bi-weekly on the 10th and 25th of every month. They have 2 earning periods per month, one finishing at midnight on the 15th of the month and the other finishing at midnight on the last day of the month. You can select your minimum payment threshold if you want, and you can receive payment in the following ways:
- FedEx Check
- Wire Transfer
Well worth getting involved in the Sell Health Affiliate Program if you are interested in promoting Health & Beauty products; especially ones for sexual health.
Many people are quite shy about any sexual issues, and would prefer to discreetly purchase some help on the internet rather than telling a doctor, or talking to a pharmacist or friends about it. Lots of great anti-aging products for women, too, which is a killer market to sell to.
