~ Hodo Global Review ~
What Is Hodo Global?
This MLM company in the travel niche has only been around since 2016. As far as MLM opportunities go, that can be a good thing, as you can get in early and rise up the ranks. From a business perspective, the company is yet unproven in terms of profitability and longevity.
The problem with these travel MLM businesses is they often don’t last very long. The reason for this is that they don’t actually have any of their own products. They are promoting third party discounts, and then amassing a team of marketers and distributors to promote and sell those third party travel discounts.
Because the products don’t belong to Hodo Global, they don’t have any real control over the pricing. Therefore, the compensation for a multi level marketing setup is very restricted.
The Hodo Global company also does not make it easy for you to access any information about the business opportunity or compensation plan without first joining the program.
The Hodo Global Products
So what products and discounts does Hodo promote and sell?
The only real “product” that Hodo Global actually have to offer is their TripSpin membership. This membership is what entitles members to access all the various discounts on things like:
- Travel
- Hotels
- Restaurants and entertainment
- Transport
- Cruises
- Activities
- Free products
- And more…
Unless you are a very active and frequent traveller you will likely not save money by joining this deal.
The MLM Business Opportunity
I really don’t like the MLM way of doing business, as it takes so many benefits away from the distributors – those doing almost all the work. It also takes advantage of its workforce in the sense of using the distributors as the primary customer base as well as basically getting them to sell and promote all for free.
MLM opportunities are promoted as a way to start and run your own business, but you never actually own a business with MLM. The company owns and controls everything. In the case of Hodo Global, even they don’t own and control much because they are promoting third party products and deals. They are a sales rep for all these vacation and related companies and so are you.
MLM never offers up a good deal at any time, not unless you actually start one up yourself.

The Hodo Global Compensation Plan
Apart from snaring some discounts through your own TripSpin membership, members can make money by selling TripSpin memberships to others. The MLM structure works on the binary model, with both a left and right leg for the downlines.
Here are some of the ways you can earn with Hodo Global Travel:
- TripSpin Memberships
- Direct Bonus
- Fast Start Bonus
- Team/Cycle Bonus
- Differential Overrides
- Matching Bonus
- Lifestyle Bonus
There is also a total of 8 different ranks you can achieve, and in order to maintain a certain rank, you must have a certain number of ongoing TripSpin memberships active:
- 1 Star – 2 Memberships
- 2 Star – 4 Memberships
- 3Star – 6 Memberships
- 4Star – 8 Memberships
- 5 Star – 10 Memberships
- 6 Star – 10 Memberships
- 7 Star – 10 Memberships
- Ambassador – 12 Memberships
Compensation plans for MLM opportunities can be rather complex, so I’ll link you to the official Hodo Global PDF that explains it all in detail.
Is Hodo Global An Illegal Pyramid Scheme?
Just about all MLM businesses operate on a pyramid compensation structure, with those at the very top making most of the money, while the majority of workers languish at the base, doing all the work and making little to no money whatsoever.
However, this does not mean they are illegal pyramid schemes. The illegal version is one that makes all its money from recruitment investment because it has no actual products to trade.
Hodo Global is a little bit borderline in this area. Yes, they have products, but they are not their own products. They are acting as a travel agent or sales rep for other companies and their products.
Still, I don’t think they are operating illegally. It’s just a bit of a grey area in this case.
Target Audience
This one definitely appeals to those who like to travel and travel regularly. Apart from the business side of things, the discounts alone could be enticing enough for frequent travellers.
What I Like
- I like that it’s a travel niche and not yet another MLM in the mega saturated health and wellness niche
- It’s only pretty new, so maybe there is a chance for quick advancement up the ranks
What I Don’t Like
- The company doesn’t own any of the products it promotes
- These travel deals they have could be taken away at any given moment by the companies that own them
- There is not much scope for making money because the products are third party deals
- The price of membership is very high and you would need to travel often for that to be worthwhile
- To really make money with this one you will have to recruit like crazy
- These travel MLM companies tend to die off pretty quickly, so you may just find yourself doing all this selling and recruiting for nothing
How Much Does Hodo Global Cost?
You first need to purchase the TripSpin membership for $308.88, then pay a monthly membership fee on top of that of $88.88.
That’s one very expensive membership into a MLM opportunity. One of the most expensive I’ve seen yet.
Is Hodo Global a Scam?
In all honesty, while it’s not a scam, it’s one of the more unstable MLM deals I’ve come across, simply because Hodo don’t own the products they promote. Things could change drastically at any time, deals could fall off, then the Hodo memberships become virtually worthless to people. There will be nothing left to sell if that kind of scenario unfolds, and it likely will at some point.
A MLM company must have its own range of products for stability, security and to ensure longevity of the business. Hodo Global sits in a very precarious position.
Forget MLM – Make REAL Money With Affiliate Marketing
MLM is an extremely popular, yet very hard way to make any sort of decent money. It relies so heavily on constant recruitment, and that’s where most people come unstuck.
Affiliate marketing is so much simpler, easier to implement and far more lucrative than any MLM deal. Plus, there are virtually no costs involved.
Let’s quickly look at some advantages affiliate marketing has over MLM:
- Travel whenever you want as your business is mobile
- Work for yourself and own your own business
- Work from home entirely online
- Promote products to a global market
- No buying and selling any products
- No membership fees
- No recruiting to make money
- Enjoy lifestyle freedom of time and money
There are many more benefits than that. I’ve just selected and highlighted a few.
Awesome training showed me the path to affiliate marketing success. If you want to give it a try, or require more information, just click on the banner below and read my guide.
