We all like to save some money, find a bargain, or get cash back on some of our purchases. These days the internet seems to be full of various ways we can do that. TopCashback is yet another website that promises cash back, but what is it exactly and is it worth joining?
This particular cash back site has actually been around since 2005, so quite a while. The site currently boasts over 8 million members worldwide and they claim to offer the highest cash back amounts out of everyone in the business. You can access the site either online via a computer, or through their mobile app.

How It Works
Obviously the first thing to do is sign up with a free account on the TopCashback site. Once you have an account they say it’s as easy as 3 simple steps, which are:
- Browse
- Shop
- Earn cash back
All the stores that are eligible for cash back offers are available through the TopCashback website. There are loads of stores to choose from, more than 4000, including some really big retailers like:
- eBay
- Best Buy
- Groupon
- Walmart
- Overstock
- Bloomingdale’s
- Expedia
- Agoda
- Target
- Macy’s
- And heaps more…
When you browse or do some shopping through the TopCashback portal, when you click on a particular store you will see all the details of the offer and how much cash back you can expect on certain deals. The offers and cash back amounts change often, so it’s a good idea to shop around and keep your finger on the pulse of what’s hot at any given time.

Are the Deals Worth the Bother?
That depends. Sometimes you will find huge rebates on offer, while at other times there might not seem to be much. I guess it all depends on what you’re looking for and the timing of your searches and purchases.
The average cash back offer can be anywhere from 2% and up to around 8% or 10%. Sometimes there will be an offer in a certain store for a particular item where the cash back amount could be as high as 20% or even up to 50%.
Once you’ve made a purchase it can take up to 2 days to see the cash back credited to your TopCashback account. Note than it takes up to a 30 day period after a purchase to be able to actually withdraw that cash from your account. There is no minimum payout threshold.

Really anyone can take advantage of a service like this one. Just about all of us shop, and these days many of us will make purchases online at least some of the time. The target audience for TopCashback is really everybody who does some online shopping. There are so many retailers to choose from that there is something to interest everybody.

What I Don’t Like
- There have been a few complaints about people not receiving their promised cash back
- Waiting for 30 days after a purchase to be able to withdraw the cash back

It doesn’t cost a thing to join TopCashback. It’s a totally free service. The company makes its money via rebates from the retailers they advertise and promote on their website.
Is TopCashback a Scam?
Definitely not. In fact, out of all the cash back/coupon types of sites I’ve come across, this looks like the best one so far. You are not having to really do anything extra to make money with this.
It’s not like you’re spending your time doing surveys or something. You are shopping online anyway, but just doing it via the TopCashback website and saving some money via rebates in the process.
