I think any level is a good level to start using managed hosting. And yes, WP Engine only host WordPress sites.

Yes, I didn’t want to get technical, although there are a lot of technical aspects to the WP Engine platform that makes it so great for WordPress sites. Most people don’t want to know all that though. There is plenty of technical info on their website for anyone who wants to read it. Cheers.
