The laptop lifestyle isn’t a derogatory term that suggests someone is unstable or irresponsible. The laptop lifestyle is a term applied to earning an income. People living this kind of lifestyle are not tied to an office job or a location for work. They either work from home or remotely for their employer, or they run their very own online business that requires only a laptop and no business premises. This means they can take their business anywhere with no ties to a geographical or physical location.
The Benefits of a Laptop Lifestyle
For starters the laptop lifestyle gives you a lot of time freedom. Even if you are still technically working for an employer, but either doing the work from home or a remote location, there is no travelling to and from the job or place of employment, and you can generally set your own work hours.
Whereas you might normally have to be at your job from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, working from your laptop allows you the freedom to structure your work time around other things you want and need to do, like dropping off the kids at school, or going out and doing something fun for the afternoon while catching up on the work that night.
If you run your very own online business from your laptop, then you have even more time freedom, as you don’t have a boss to answer to at all. You answer only to yourself.

The laptop lifestyle isn’t only reserved for the rich and famous, those born a privileged life or people who have won lotto. Anyone can live this lifestyle. All you need is a laptop and an internet connection. There are many ways a laptop lifestyle can become a reality. I live one myself and am experiencing this existence as I write this post.

Above are the order in which I started doing things online, but really there are so many things that can be done and accomplished via the internet.
An Online Business
Having your very own online business is truly one of the easiest, cheapest and best ways to achieve a laptop lifestyle, and you don’t need tech skills. You can be young or old and still run an online business, and run it successfully. I know people ranging in age from teenagers through to retirees in their 80s doing the same kind of online business that I do.
It’s called affiliate marketing and it’s so simple to set up and get going that literally anyone, anywhere can do this kind of business. And best of all, it costs very little to get started.

The truth being the laptop lifestyle allows people to actually live the life of their dreams and in the location of their dreams. Being able to work virtually from any location might sound like a dream from some but thankfully it is a reality. Just recently I had a 7 hour flight delay, my response? just get out the laptop, tether in the phone and get working!
Which, of course, makes those working remotely, like I do, much more productive and no time is ever really wasted!
