Great site and a fabulous advice in this article. Personally, I have been an affiliate marketer for years and years mostly self taught in the early days and in teh days of hit and miss success and semi permanent income days.
The biggest mistake I made, and would have saved me years of my own time, was not paying for some proper professional training on how to do it the correct way. The investment pays for its self in many ways and many times over both in time and real $$$.
