Intro

Chances are you received an email about AZ Code or saw mentions of it online somewhere. It sounded interesting so you decided to dig a little deeper to discover what it’s all about. That’s a good move, as it’s always wise to check into something first before handing your money over.

On the internet today there are a lot of make money online (MMO) scams going around, as well as some schemes that may not be scams, but really just aren’t of any great value. On my website I like to let people know about these platforms so you can avoid wasting your time or money on them.

On the positive side, there is lots of good stuff as well, and I always like to highlight trainings and programs that are worthwhile.

Let’s see how the AZ Code measures up on the good and bad scale.

What Is AZ Code?

I just came across the AZ Code – also known as The Amazon Code – a few days ago and decided to look into it as it seemed interesting. The website is apparently run by a dude named Andrew Peterson, but in my experience it’s hard to know whether these people are even real names or just aliases.

Anyway, Andrew claims to have a system that can easily make people more than $10,000 a week as an Amazon affiliate. What this means is that if you join the Amazon affiliate program (known as Amazon Associates), and start promoting products that are for sale on Amazon, if people start buying those products, Amazon pays you a commission for each sale you refer.

This is affiliate marketing and it’s what I do for a living. The thing is, I’m an Amazon affiliate and many of their commission rates are really low, so making $10k a week is a tough ask.

It’s true that Amazon is the world’s biggest online retailer and these days you can buy practically anything on Amazon. Another advantage to being an Amazon affiliate is people trust making purchases on the platform, so no promoting products that are for sale on unknown or dodgy looking websites.

But like I said, some products only pay affiliates 2% of the purchase price, with the highest commission rate being around the 10% mark. A lot of purchases made on amazon are for products costing less than $100, so you would have to be getting truck loads of sales to make $10k a week in commissions.

How It Really Works

The AZ Code is just an eBook where Andrew Peterson explains his formula for making sales on Amazon, both as an affiliate and as a merchant, where you supply the products and the orders are fulfilled by Amazon (FBA).

You can make good money with both options, and some people have built themselves thriving businesses on the Amazon platform, either as a merchant, affiliate or both. But the problem with the sales pitch for the AZ Code is Andrew tells us that making huge money is super quick and very easy. In fact, he even calls his system a push button one, which seems to be the catch phrase for many make money online schemes and training platforms.

The sales video goes on to say that people who use his system will be making $300,000 in profits within the first 7 months.

That’s one hell of a statement.

I mean, he’s targeting newcomers to the business, and no one new to affiliate marketing or being a merchant on the Amazon platform is likely to make even a tenth of that sum in the first 7 months. That’s just blowing hot air up peoples’ you know what. It’s sales talk to get you excited and spend money on his eBook and system.

AZ Code 10k a Week

It’s Not That Easy

We’ve already covered this to a point, that it’s nowhere near as quick and simple as Andrew Peterson would have us believe. It’s all possible if done right and a sprinkling of luck is thrown into the mix, but success online takes time.

Even joining the Amazon Associates program as an affiliate or becoming an Amazon merchant is a process that doesn’t happen instantly. You have to provide information, jump through some hoops and hope they accept you first. They don’t accept everybody like some affiliate programs do.

Even as an accepted merchant, you first have to find products to sell, ship them off to the Amazon warehouse, then create product listing for all those products. You also have to learn SEO for those product listings so they get found in Amazon searches, and you will also need to know how to drive external traffic to your Amazon listings.

You could have the best product in the world with high profit margins, but it’s still going to take a long time to reach a profit level of $40k a month. Plus, Amazon has listing fees just like eBay does. And then there are affiliate commissions if affiliates are promoting your products.

As an affiliate there are way less overheads, but profit margins are way smaller because you get such low commission rates on Amazon. So, making $300k in 7 months really is beyond the realms of possibility.

The Site Is Loaded Up With Fake Video Testimonials

Everyone wants to provide some sort of “proof” that their product does what’s claimed and that it works. This is great if the proof is genuine, but unfortunately anyone can create glowing written and video testimonials, hiring freelancers to write them or act in videos, and that’s exactly what AZ Code has done.

The reason I know the video testimonials are not from real members is because the people in them all sell their video acting and recording services on the freelancer site, Fiverr.

When you review as many fake make money products as I have, you start to see the same faces appearing in sales pitch videos and testimonials all the time.

The Training

In all honesty, the training is just the PDF eBook you buy from ClickBank, and instead of offering some secret insights on how to become a mega successful Amazon affiliate, it mostly instructs you how to choose products to sell on Amazon as a merchant and everything associated with that.

The training is pretty basic, and there is no “secret system” being revealed here like Andrew makes out in the sales pitch for AZ Code.

Target Audience

He says this isn’t just targeted at newbies, and maybe that’s true, but I can’t see too many experienced marketers falling for all the BS sales hype offered on Andrew’s website. He’s really targeting anyone who thinks they can get rich very quickly and with the greatest of ease, which in reality is nothing but a fantasy. Push button, done for you systems don’t exist. It’s just hype, telling people what they want to hear.

What I Like

  • You can make money as an Amazon affiliate
  • You can make money as an Amazon merchant (FBA)
  • Some of Andrew’s teachings are useful

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

  • This platform has way too much hype
  • The site is filled with fake testimonials
  • No one is going to be making $10k in quick time with this
  • The training is just an over-priced eBook PDF
  • $37 is a lot for an eBook
  • It more focuses on being an Amazon merchant rather than an affiliate
  • It’s not a done for you, push button, plug and play system like Andrew makes out
  • Making money online takes time, work and commitment

How Much Does the AZ Code Cost?

The cost of the eBook on ClickBank is $37.If you buy the eBook there will be upsells recommended throughout the book that are designed to help you achieve the goals Andrew claims he can help you achieve. The upsells could run into the $100s.

Is the AZ Code a Scam?

All the hype is scammy in my opinion, but I can’t say the AZ Code is a total scam. What Andrew talks about is possible, but it’s nowhere near as quick and easy as the guy makes out.

You can make money as an Amazon merchant or affiliate, but it’ll take time. It won’t happen within weeks. No way.

$37 is a lot for an informational eBook. In comparison to the many millions of books sold on Amazon Kindle, that price is about 10 times too much.

I Make Money Online With Affiliate Marketing and You Can Too!

You can make money online either as an affiliate marketer or a merchant, or even a combination of the two. Despite the fact that many scams and so on clog up the internet, it is a realm where good money and even huge money can be made.

One of the great advantages about the internet are the low overheads, and if you decide to run an affiliate marketing business, the overheads are extremely low when you get started, making it possible for everyone.

The “easiest” and fastest way to get successful with your affiliate marketing business is to follow in the footsteps of others who are already successful and basically just do things the same way they do.
