With so many make money scams on the internet, it's always good to be careful. My website is devoted to helping people find legitimate ways to make money on the internet while avoiding those dodgy schemes and scams.
American Diversified Publications is an online job directory that actually commenced business way back in 2000. The focus of the directory is online jobs people can do from home, usually during the hours they choose so it doesn’t interfere with their daily schedule.
The main difference with this directory of “jobs” is that American Diversified Publications see fit to charge people a $35 fee to access their listings, whereas most other online job boards and directories are free for job seekers to browse and apply for positions listed.

How It Works
If you are looking for online jobs but don’t have the time to endlessly research places one at a time, you can buy the job listings from American Diversified Publications. You can receive this in hard copy sent to your address (extra for postage), or download the list of positions directly to your computer.

The “Jobs”
Now let’s take a brief look at the types of “positions” that are on offer in this directory.
- Home assembly jobs
- Make money online opportunities
- Online paid surveys
- Promote American Diversified Publications as an affiliate
- Mystery shopping
- Home telemarketing jobs
- Mailing out American Diversified Publications brochures
None of these sound like any sort of career move at all, but then that’s not really the focus of this directory. These are meant to be sideline gigs you can do in your spare time.
But is any of this worth paying for?
To begin with, you don’t need to purchase some online job directory to do paid surveys. There are loads of platforms out there for this that are free to join, and it only takes a quick Google search to find a list of possibilities. Paid surveys pay virtually nothing for your time anyway and are not even worth doing.
Mystery shopping is another huge waste of time. Generally the pay is very low, you have to go to the store, check it all out, usually you are required to make a purchase, for which you will be reimbursed, after which you come home and file a report and answer a bunch of questions about your experience.
I can’t imagine the home assembly job working out too well, and who wants to either rack up a home phone bill telemarketing, or constantly be interrupted at home receiving calls about who knows what.
The internet jobs are things like rewards sites (think Swagbucks), email processing, data entry and so on. Many of these types of gigs are often associated with online scams.

- I can’t really think of any definite positives with this one. It’s really an unnecessary resource
What I Don’t Like
- The “jobs” they list are not really jobs
- All the listings can be accessed for free on other platforms. No need to pay
- Some of the listings are so-called jobs that are often associated with online scams
- If you do some research, their alleged place of business has 2 completely different addresses
- There are numerous complaints about American Diversified Publications
How Much Does American Diversified Publications Cost?
It’s $35 for the digital download of their directory. For hard copy, the price is $34 plus postage. So technically the digital version is more expensive than the hard copy. Not sure how they arrive at that price point, but anyway.
Is American Diversified Publications a Scam?
Based on the quality of the so-called jobs on offer, the fact that they are charging for information anyone can find for free, and the multitude of complaints about this company, I’m happy to conclude that this is merely a scam to relieve you of $35.
The directory is pretty useless and not something you want to spend that kind of money on. Better off putting the money towards a professional resume or something.

Thanks for your review of the American Diversified Publications. I agree that it’s not that useful considering the online jobs search availability. The one thing I see that’s good about it is that it’s a one time fee of $35. It serves those who want to spare the research and get some compiled results fast. Only to find out that it’s not truly worthwhile.

American Diversified Publications is pretty useless at the end of the day. It’s definitely not worth spending $35 on, that’s for sure. You can gather all this information fairly quickly and easily for free with a few Google searches.
