Is Crowd Rising a scam system or not? People were asking me about this, so i looked into it and wrote a review on what I found out. Is this a genuine business opportunity to make great money while helping others, or is it merely a dodgy cash gifting scheme?

What Is Crowd Rising and How Does It Work?
First, I'm really happy to see you here reading my review, as it shows you are smart and don't just blindly join something. That's the best way to avoid getting scammed online.
Owner and creator Gerhard Rempel has been involved in illegal Ponzi schemes in the past, so is Crowd Rising yet another one?
This platform is built on the premise of crowd funding with peer to peer donations. Crowd funding traditionally is a way to raise funds for either a cause or a project, but is that what Crowd Rising is really all about?
On the website’s homepage there is a lot of talk about giving $20 to someone in need, as if this is a charity organisation. At the bottom of the page is a weird bunch of HTML code. Not sure what that’s about.
On the “Info & Tutorials” page there is a series of videos that explains exactly how Crowd Rising works. What it really is, in effect, is a pyramid scheme going under the guise of crowd funding. What you will be involved in is a money matrix, cash gifting, a Ponzi scheme, a money making system that is destined to collapse simply because it can’t possibly sustain itself indefinitely.
Why?
Because when you buy in with your $20, the idea is to increase that initial investment and make a profit. But if there is no service or product being sold, the only way to pay previous investors is with the funds of new investors.
While it's not impossible to make money with a Ponzi scheme like Crowd Rising, it is very risky. If you want to make genuine money online, long-term, then have you considered doing a very simple, but profitable online business?

The Compensation Plan
When you join you make a $20 donation to your sponsor, the person who referred you to the program. This puts you on Level 1. Now it’s your turn to recruit. The idea is to bring in 5 new people, each of them paying you $20. At a cost of $40 to the person who brought in your sponsor, you then move on up to the 2nd Level. Your referrals sign up 5 referrals and so on right down the line, forming the pyramid. The matrix goes 10 levels deep. The owners would be placed right at the top of the matrix. They don’t need to take percentages or charge admin fees, as they would be making a killing being kings of the pyramid.

Target Audience
Some people just love these money matrix systems, whether they make a profit or not. It’s like gambling, the lure of easy money. Others who are looking for that elusive get rich fast opportunity are also attracted to these schemes.
Tools and Training
There are quite a few video tutorials on the Crowd Rising site, so those will prove to be helpful. As far as tools go, you don’t really get anything other than the Crowd Rising website. Having your own website and being active in social media will help, as most of your job will be about recruiting other people. Without the recruitment nobody has a chance of making any money.

How Much Does Crowd Rising Cost?
It only costs $20 to buy in, but you may need to spend money in other ways in order to keep recruiting others into the matrix. As you go up the levels you need to pay, but you can pay the entry fee out of the money earned.
Is Crowd Rising a Scam?
Maybe you will make some money with this scheme and maybe you won’t. I guess at $20 it’s not a huge risk. However, as these systems are technically illegal, there is a slight risk of a run in with the law the longer you remain involved in a Ponzi scheme like Crowd Rising.
Also, Ponzi schemes have a limited life span. As they rely solely on the recruitment of new members, as soon as that slows or stops, no money is coming into the scheme and the whole thing dies a quick death. Usually the majority of "investors" are left without a return.
That's just the nature of these schemes, unfortunately.
