What Is Wakaya Perfection?

Founder David Gilmour has been a successful businessman in Fiji for many decades and owned hotels in Fiji long before Wakaya Perfection was founded. He knows how to run a successful enterprise and was even featured in Forbes magazine at one time.

In 1973 David Gilmour purchased a Fijian Island named Wakaya Island. As the Fijian region is largely volcanic, the soil in the area, and particularly on Wakaya island, is very nutrient-rich. So the theory goes that products grown in this region so laden with nutrients will actually be healthier for you than products grown in other parts of the world.

These days Wakaya island has a beautiful resort and thriving farmland. This is where the base produce for the Wakaya Perfection range of products are actually grown. David, his wife and Todd all believe the island has special healing properties, and their goal was to create products that would pass on those healing qualities to the general public, as well as offering a business opportunity for those who want to get involved in selling Wakaya Perfection.

The Products

Let’s now take a brief look at the products that the people at Wakaya claim are so good for our health and wellness. As mentioned earlier, all products are grown right there on the island, irrigated and cleansed with natural rainwater from the island’s very own rainwater catchment basin.

There are actually quite a few products available in the Wakaya range, as well as a fitness and weight loss program. For more thorough details on the products it’s best to visit their website directly, but I’ll briefly list a cross-section here for reference purposes.

  • Wakaya Perfection ProductsBulaFIT and Hydration
  • BulaFIT Weight Loss Challenge
  • BulaFIT Products
  • Ginger Products and Cookbooks
  • Enrollment Packs (for the business side)
  • Product Packs
  • Books
  • Personal Care
  • Wellness Products
  • Skincare
  • Holiday Packs
  • Hydration Packs
  • Essential Oils

The main ingredients for many of the products are the locally grown ginger, dilo, coconut, turmeric and locally harvested sea salt.

As with all products in any MLM business, the prices are very expensive for what they are.

As far as the amazing health benefits are concerned, well those are more supposition than proven fact. However, I’m sure the ingredients of the products in the Wakaya Perfection range do host many health and nutritional benefits.

The Wakaya Business Opportunity and Compensation Plan

To be clear, I’m not a fan of the MLM business setup. It’s designed to largely benefit the company and not so much the multitudes of people doing all the actual selling and recruiting. You more tend to be buying yourself a gig as an employee hired on a commission basis only, rather than actually starting a business.

Wakaya claim you can earn income as an ambassador for the firm in 14 different ways. I always find the compensation plans of MLM business opportunities rather complicated, so it’s easier if I include the official video below that explains it all.

Any form of network marketing is hard work. For starters, you’re trying to sell products that are way over-priced. And in the case of the health and wellness niche (a very saturated niche in MLM), you need to convince people of the unfounded health benefits.

The real money is in the recruiting though, and this is where you really need to work your butt off. You can make money just selling at the retail level, but the residual commissions, bonuses and more serious money only comes about if you can develop a very active downline of recruits.

Target Audience

MLM opportunities are generally targeted at people who want to start some sort of business without having to create a product or service from scratch, and want to jump on board with a company that is already established. Part of the appeal of something like the Wakaya Perfection opportunity is the products. If you are in love with a product, it makes it that much easier to sell.

What I Like

  • I like the island where all the products and ingredients come from. It really does look beautiful
  • Some of the bonuses of being an ambassador are trips to Wakaya Island
  • They have an interesting assortment of products on offer

What I Don’t Like

  • The products are very expensive, as is always the case with MLM due to the nature of compensation
  • The health benefits of the products are unproven
  • Making money as an ambassador for Wakaya Perfection would be very hard to do due to the prices and the competition in the health and wellness niche
  • The focus of success in MLM and mostly about recruiting, and that can be exceptionally hard work

How Much Does Wakaya Perfection Cost?

If you want to be a Wakaya Perfection ambassador you must first buy the Ambassador Welcome and Web Tools Kit, which costs $49.95. On top of that you need to purchase one of the product starter kits, which will cost you a minimum of $299.95 per month.

Is Wakaya Perfection a Scam?

I don’t think the Wakaya Perfection business opportunity or product line is a scam in any way. The products are predictably expensive and the business opportunity will amount to an immense amount of hard work to get profitable, but it’s all above board.

However, MLM opportunities are not something I recommend if you are serious about making decent money. There are better businesses you can start that are actually easier to make profitable and grow than any MLM deal, and businesses that are actually yours and not somebody else’s.

My #1 Recommendation for Making Money Online

I run a successful affiliate marketing business online. As an affiliate you don’t actually buy and sell products, purchase any stock or do any shipping. You simply promote the products of other companies and earn yourself commissions when sales are made. It really is a simple business model in so many ways.

Here’s a quick list of just some of the advantages:

  • What Is A Lifestyle Business And Should You Want OneBe your own boss
  • No buying and selling
  • Cheap to get started
  • Very cheap to run
  • Work entirely online
  • Not tied to any one location – you can work anywhere
  • Lifestyle freedom of time and money
  • Spend more time with loved ones
  • No commute to work
  • No recruiting

The list could really run for pages, but you get the general idea.
