Best WordPress Hosting Site - WP Engine

WordPress is one of the most popular website building platforms in the history of the internet, with some 75 million sites using WordPress worldwide and the CMS accounts for about 19% of all websites. Although it’s a rather simple platform for the end user to use, it’s quite complicated in the back end, so finding a hosting company that really understands the WordPress framework and what it demands is quite important. So what is the best WordPress hosting site?

In my opinion WP Engine leads the pack.

Why WordPress Managed Hosting?

When you sign up for managed WordPress hosting, you know you are uploading your site to servers and architecture that can handle the job with ease. You are also dealing with a hosting company that fully understands the WordPress platform and actually loves this CMS. That makes a massive difference to the quality of hosting, security and support you receive for your valuable WordPress site.

You will also find your website loads much faster on dedicated WP hosting, which makes for a much more pleasant and less stressful experience for website visitors, meaning they are likely to spend more time browsing your website.

Why WP Engine?

WP Engine isn’t cheap hosting, so it’s probably not going to appeal to beginning bloggers or people simply running a personal website. But if you’re a business, and the success of your business relies heavily on the quality of your website and its hosting, then paying a little more for managed WP hosting does make sense. Sure, you could go with cheap hosting that offers WordPress as one of the options, but these more budget platforms don’t really cater to the WordPress platform specifically. They are generic hosting, designed to be a one size fits all solution, rather than being specialists.

If you have a business website that is created in WordPress (or plan to have one), it really is worth the peace of mind to sign up for dedicated WordPress hosting with a platform like WP Engine.

WP Engine’s staff and creators love WordPress and live for WordPress. They are passionate about this CMS, that’s why they formed WP Engine to start with. These people were WordPress users themselves long before WP Engine came about.

Some advantages to using WP Engine at a glance:

  • You site will load faster
  • 24/7/365 first class tech support
  • A WordPress hosting company that actually cares about its customers
  • Work At Home With An Internet BusinessMulti-levels of website security
  • Daily backups of your site
  • Firewall protection
  • Automatic malware scanning
  • WP Engine has a fulltime engineering staff and labs team
  • Site speed reports
  • Developer tools
  • Performance analytics in real time

This is just a brief list of some of the main advantages to hosting your business website on WP Engine’s servers. You want to know your site is in very good hands. Without a great hosting company taking care of you, your business could suffer as a result. What you don’t want to do is find yourself in a situation with a budget hosting company where you find your WP site keeps going down, or the budget hosting company demands you upgrade to a dedicated hosting platform for a steep monthly price that is nowhere near as good as the WP Engine platform.

Budget hosting companies are renowned for pulling sites down the very moment they use too many resources. They claim it’s slowing their system down and goes against their “fair use” policy. It is then that they will say to you, “Pay for a VPS (virtual private server) hosting to get your site back up again”.

WP Engine servers can handle anything your website will throw at them. They are designed for sites that do a lot and need a robust hosting package that can handle it. Even if your business site isn’t that big yet and doesn’t suck a lot of resources, it may grow over time. You want to have room for expansion without the fear or hassle of having your site taken down and trying to find another hosting platform that can handle it so you’re back in business again.

You are way better off just hosting with a quality company to start with; one that will grow with you, understands exactly the needs of your WordPress site and is only too happy to accommodate you.

WP Engine is that company.

If you have a WordPress business website – or plan to – then WP Engine is the very best hosting platform in the world today for WordPress sites.

  1. Thanks for the info Darren. I read your post about bluehost but I take it that you recommend WordPress Engine as better hosting for a site that is intended for business? My main concern is speed of loading and ease of use. Is WP Engine easy to use and does it provide good support? You said it was expensive, can you please give an indication of price.

    Thanks

    Deb

    • Hi Deb. WP Engine only gets expensive when you buy to bigger packages. Their prices start at just $29 a month. Bluehost is a great all round hosting company and there’s no reason you can’t host business websites with them. The advantage of WP Engine is they are WordPress specialists and their customer support know everything about WordPress.

  2. But are they significantly faster? Apparently Google really values speed of loading? The focus of my website and my own goals is to have a full time income online by the middle of 2017 so I want all my ducks in a row 🙂
