On the Bluehost Home Page, click the green “get started now” button. After that you will be taken to a page of options where you choose your hosting plan.

Bluehost Get Started Now

Once that’s done you will need to choose a domain name for your site. When you create a new hosting account at Bluehost you get a free domain name registration, so there is no charge for this step. Come up with an available domain that is relevant to the content of your website or blog and then move on to the next phase.

Bluehost Domain Name

If you already have an existing domain name that you want to use for your hosting, input that into the appropriate field. There will be a few extra steps involved in pointing the DNS to Bluehost’s servers, but it’s all quite simple and straightforward.

Now you will fill out your personal information, such as name and address, for your Bluehost web hosting account. Once this is completed move forward and make your purchase. Create a password for your account and then you’re done with setting up your web hosting with Bluehost.

Now Let’s Install WordPress

You have your domain name and have purchased your hosting account. In order to get started on the fun part – actually creating your website and filling it with content and images – you will now need to install WordPress.

Again, the process is very simple.

Log into your Bluehost hosting account, navigate to cPanel and click on the “Install WordPress” icon under the “Website” tab.

Install WordPress On BluehostThe “Mojo Marketplace Auto Installer” is what you’ll be using to install your working version of WordPress on your Bluehost account.

Select “Build Your Website” in the Bluehost Marketplace. Enter your domain name without the www at the start. Leave the box on the right blank, as you are wanting to install WordPress under your actual domain and not a subdomain.

Now you will be prompted to input some information for your website:

  • Site name or title
  • Admin username
  • Admin email address
  • Password for accessing WordPress

WordPress Login InformationNow select the check boxes for accepting the terms and click the “Install” button. Once the installation is complete you will be prompted to login to WordPress with the username and password you created at the previous step.

That’s it. That’s all there is to it.

You’re now ready to start building out your WordPress website or blog on your Bluehost hosting account.

I think Bluehost definitely presents a tempting offer; paying no more than 2.95$ is almost a no-brainer if one is the least bit serious about setting up a website.
