What Is Le-Vel Thrive?

Once again we come across a company using the multi level marketing method to promote and sell products in the health and wellness niche. I think at least 50% or more MLM businesses these days are in this particular niche. It’s a thriving industry, but man there is a hell of a lot of competition out there.

Le-Vel Thrive like to refer to their product range as the “Premium Lifestyle Transformation Plan”.

Sounds pretty fancy, doesn’t it?

This company is actually very similar to other MLM businesses in the same niche I’ve reviewed recently. So that being the case, does Le-Vel Thrive have anything different or new to offer the nutrition and weight loss space?

The company was founded in 2012, so it hasn’t been around all that long compared to some others. They currently enjoy a customer and distributor base in excess of 6 million people and the products are available in:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • Mexico
  • New Zealand

Le-Vel Thrive also have the claim to fame of breaking the $1 billion sales barrier in less than 5 years.

If you plan to distribute and recruit for any MLM, then having your own website will really help. It's actually a lot easier to create a website than what you might think. Check out the free training on offer at Wealthy Affiliate that shows you how in a simple, step by step process.

The Le-Vel Thrive Product Range

Generally products in the health and wellness, fitness and weight loss categories are rather pricey on any given day. In a MLM business they tend to be even more expensive due to the nature of the MLM compensation structure of multiple commissions and bonuses. Is that the case with the Le-Vel Thrive products?

As an example a Tone Pack costs $140. For this you get enough weight loss shakes and diet pills to last you for 4 weeks. That price is not too bad compared to similar products in the non-MLM retail world.

Some people swear by the Le-Vel Thrive products; not just for weight loss, but increased energy and mental alertness as well. Results will always vary from person to person, but overall the products seem generally well received.

There are 3 main products in the Thrive range. That’s not many, but it keeps the company focused on producing quality rather than quantity. This is what they have:

  1. Supplement capsules
  2. Diet shakes
  3. Nutrition patches

The most popular product in the range is the 8 week Thrive Experience. This pack contains all three products listed above and is designed to help you lose excess weight within 8 weeks. Many claim it works wonders, but as I said, results will vary, and it also depends on your diet and exercise regime how successful you will be on the program. Supplements mean nothing without eating sensibly and getting regular exercise.

The Business Opportunity

Any MLM venture relies heavily on recruitment, both for the company and the distributor. Selling Le-Vel Thrive products at retail might make you enough cash to buy your next mandatory order, but it’s highly unlikely to earn you more than a bit of pocket money.

The real money is in recruitment, and that’s going to be an uphill climb of mammoth proportions in an industry that is already super saturated both with health and wellness products, and a multitude of MLM businesses operating in the same niche. Everyone’s chasing a piece of the same pie and there’s nowhere near enough pie to go around.

Anyone who regularly visits my site knows I’m not a fan of the multi level marketing way of doing business, because all of the advantages are with the company. That’s why so many businesses adopt this marketing model. It saves them bucket loads of money by having an army of sales reps doing all the recruiting, promoting and selling for them, and all for commissions and bonuses rather than wages. The products sell themselves because Le-Vel Thrive make it mandatory to spend a minimum amount per month on product – or sell a minimum amount – to remain eligible to earn money from the business.

The Le-Vel Thrive Compensation Plan

As far as the Le-Vel Thrive compensation plan goes there are a number of ways you can earn:

  • Direct sales
  • Residual commissions earned from your downline
  • Various bonuses
  • Reaching different ranks

Retail sales earn you a 20% profit margin. When your direct recruits make sales you make a 12% commission and 3-4% on levels 2 and 3.

Apparently it can be really tough to move up from a level 1 rank due to the amount of monthly volume you and your downlines have to move. Much of your success in this business will hinge on the motivation levels of those in your downlines. Unless most are actively recruiting and selling, it will be almost impossible to advance.

I always find the compensation plans of MLM ventures extremely complex and confusing. Here’s a link to the official Le-Vel Thrive PDF.

The Definition of a Pyramid Scheme

Pyramid SchemeAll MLM businesses operate on a pyramid-shaped compensation structure, but that doesn’t mean they are illegal pyramid schemes. Many people might label them as such, but it’s not entirely true. Yes, the MLM model is not that fair to distributors, but that doesn’t make it illegal.

A “naked” pyramid scheme is what’s against the law. This is defined as a pyramid system that relies both solely on recruitment to function AND has no products of any tangible value.

Le-Vel Thrive does not fit the definition of a naked pyramid scheme as it does have real products.

Target Audience

One target market is those wanting to lose weight. People can join the program, lose some weight and potentially make some money in the process.

What I Like

  • The company has moved a lot of product very quickly
  • The prices are not that much higher than comparative products off the shelf
  • There are ingredients in the products that I believe do help people lose weight, such as green tea extract and Garcinia

What I Don’t Like

  • The health, wellness, weight loss niche has been done to death in the MLM world
  • It’s a super competitive niche to try and sell and recruit in
  • Most people make no money being a distributor for any kind of MLM opportunity
  • The average yearly earnings for MLM distributors is roughly $500 a year for those that do actually make some money
  • You will likely annoy the hell out of everyone you know, trying to sell them products or recruit them into the business

How Much Does Le-Vel Thrive Cost?

To become a Le-Vel thrive distributor you have to spend $200 on an enrolment package. You also need to buy or sell a minimum amount of product every month to remain eligible to make commissions and bonuses.

Is Le-Vel Thrive a Scam?

It’s not a scam. It’s just your typical MLM opportunity where distributors do most of the work and the company makes most of the money. The products seem okay and they’re not too expensive, but it’s going to be a tough gig trying to turn this into a thriving personal business. The health niche is saturated more than just about any other, and this is particularly true when it comes to MLM companies operating in this niche.

Make More Money With Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a much better business model than MLM. In some ways it’s similar, but there’s no recruiting and no selling products. In fact, you don’t even have to buy any products. All you do is promote stuff and earn commissions when sales are made via your promotions. On the subject of commissions, in some cases you can earn as high as 100%. Much better than any MLM, that’s for sure.

There is also the scope to make residual commissions and passive income streams. I do it for a living and these days I really enjoy lifestyle freedom.

If you would like to learn more about it and how to get started, just click on the banner below. You are free to promote anything you like as an affiliate marketer. This business is well worth doing and costs virtually nothing to run.
