What Is Residual Revenue Secrets and How Does It Work?

Is Residual Revenue Secrets a ScamBrought to us by online entrepreneur Jason McClain, Residual Revenue Secrets seems like a pretty legit program at first glance. Let’s see what lies under the hood so we know what it’s all about.

It’s basically a sales funnel which starts off with some free training and then leads into several paid membership options. Let it be known that Residual Revenue Secrets also has an affiliate program, so some of the reviews you read online will be by affiliates looking to earn commissions and may be biased. I’m not affiliated with this program whatsoever.

The idea behind this platform is to help everyday people learn how to create a business online that is profitable and will survive the long-term. It starts off with a pretty decent 3 day course which Jason gives us access to absolutely free.

So far so good.

Jason McClain is no fly by nighter and he has tons of online experience, previously being involved with such programs as High Traffic Academy (which I personally don’t rate that highly) and the now defunct Project Breakthrough. Whether I like those 2 programs or not is not really the issue. The point here is Jason has experience in making money online and has proven he can do it, so his training is designed to pass on that expertise to others.

Find out how I make more than 10k per month online…

The Training

Let’s first look at the complimentary 3 day course and see what that involves.

This free course is made up of 3 videos which run for approximately 1 hour each. There is also a bonus video thrown in, so really a total of 4 videos.

Day 1 – Discovering the Perfect Product

The first video is shorter and only runs for about 20 minutes. In this video we are introduced to a familiar story, when Jason went from rags to riches, only to lose it all. Jason then goes on to relate how he built his business back up again by offering great value to people for free. In other words, not focusing on the money.

Businesses today – whether online or offline – really need to focus on solving a problem. If you can solve a problem, money will come as a natural result of providing a solution.

He really emphasises the importance of producing your own product to sell; a product that solves a problem.

Of course, it’s also possible to achieve the same result as an affiliate, just your profit margins are likely to be less.

Day 2 – Creating a Business That Works

Here we discover why so many businesses fail. Lesson 2 also goes over the possibilities of either creating your own product or promoting an existing product as an affiliate. Jason covers the pros and cons of each option.

He also goes over the concept of researching existing successful businesses, working out what they’re doing right and emulating it.

The last part of the video discusses freeing up some of your time by outsourcing parts of the workload.

Day 3 – Developing a Plan for Domination

This third lesson is a little more pumped up, with Jason doing his best to hype you up for action and success. It’s time to create a plan of attack and get out there and make it happen.

Another important point that Jason makes in all 3 videos is that the journey to online success is not going to be quick and easy.

I like that he mentions this, because it’s the truth. Scammers tend to hype up how much money you’re going to make and carry on like it can happen overnight. This is just an outright lie to get your money. Jason is actually speaking the truth, so I respect him for that.

The bottom line is that you have to give immense value. If there is no value attached to what you do or your products, why would anybody part with money for them?

The bonus video talks about how you can earn money while you learn, and this is true. At the end of this review I’ll briefly touch on a training course I did where you can do exactly that.

The “Insider Success” Program

This is where Jason introduces his paid programs to you. You’ve just had the pleasure of going through his free course that gets you started. Now you might want to take things further with Jason and his crew with the Insider Success program.

This is comprised of 2 memberships:

  • Apprentice = $167 per month
  • Insider = $477 per month

Both are very pricey for courses with a monthly recurring fee. However, if you want to continue learning, and potentially earning while you learn, then the next obvious step is to upgrade to one of the paid memberships.

If you join either membership you get access not only to the remainder of Jason’s teachings and coaching, you also have access to experts in the fields of copywriting, SEO, PPC advertising masters and social media experts, to name a few.

Target Audience

I believe this course is targeted at beginners to online marketing, but will still definitely offer value to those with some online marketing experience already.

What I Like

  • I like the fact that there is a free trial, and the information Jason goes over in the free part is actually very good
  • Jason McClain has run successful enterprises in the past and knows what he’s talking about
  • He speaks the truth when stating that success won’t come quick and easy

What I Don’t Like

  • The paid part of the program and training is a bit too expensive I believe

How Much Does Residual Revenue Secrets Cost?

Free to try and you do learn a lot from the 3 initial training videos. After that you’ll be up for a minimum of $167 a month to take things further and gain access to Jason’s array of industry experts.

Is Residual Revenue Secrets a Scam?

No, I don’t think Residual Revenue Secrets is a scam at all. Scams never give away that much free valuable information for a start. If anything, scams avoid trying to tell you anything useful until you pay them money.

I’ve rated this a 6 out of 10, not because it’s not that great. I just think the price of the memberships is way too high and not something most beginners are willing to pay or could even afford. Other than that, I think it’s pretty good all round.

How I Make Money Online

When I did my affiliate marketing training with Wealthy Affiliate, I discovered their courses were designed so you could “earn as you learn”, and that’s exactly what most people at WA end up doing. It’s this very training that set me on the path to success with my affiliate marketing business, and these days I enjoy a lifestyle where I’m my own boss, and I have both time flexibility and earn good money.

  1. Thanks for your great review of Residual Revenue Secrets. I’m always on the lookout for good Affiliate Platforms to promote. Whilst Residual Revenue looks to reputable, the price is a bit of a turn-off! I’m actually a member of 3 years to the Wealthy Affiliate Platform and think it has close to best training you’ll find on the Internet for only $49 a month.
I might join his free 3-day Trial though, just to see if I can learn something new.

    • Hi Jeff. Glad to see you’ve already found your way to Wealthy Affiliate. But like you say, there is always the chance of learning new things, so the 3 day trial with Residual Revenue Secrets could be worth a try for you. The monthly membership fees are a bit on the pricey side, though, I must admit.
