There is no point trying to make money online unless you know how. If you are reading this post it's because you want to learn how to make money online. I won't be teaching you how to do it. Why? Because there are people out there way better at teaching the concept than I am; people who are way more experienced and qualified. I know quite a bit by now, but I certainly don't know everything.
I learnt some of what I know through random research on the net, but most of the good stuff I've learnt – the stuff that is genuinely useful and actually works – I learnt through the training at a company called Wealthy Affiliate.
What Is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate is a training platform designed primarily to teach you all about earning an income online by affiliate marketing and related business ideas. They offer some of the best training available; training that is so easy to follow anyone can do it. You don't have to be into affiliate marketing either. This training will teach you the proper way to set up a website that well rank well in search engines (highly important), attracting regular visitors which will ultimately translate into customers and money in your pocket.

What Is Affiliate Marketing
To put it simply, affiliate marketing is promoting the products of other companies on your website, blog, or through social media. You get unique links that identify you as the referrer, so if someone clicks through to a sales page and makes a purchase, the company pays you a commission. Essentially you are a sales rep for one or more companies on the internet.
Good Training Is Vital
You won't get very far in the affiliate marketing business unless you first learn how to do it right. It takes a bit of time and effort, but well worth it. The great thing is, with Wealthy Affiliate it's FREE to start the training. There is an upgrade option to continue with more advanced training, but it's cheap compared to the price you would pay for a course as in depth as this, and peanuts compared to studying for a career at a college or university.

2 Free Websites!
Yes, you read that correctly. Starter Members (Free Members) at Wealthy Affiliate get to create and host 2 websites for absolutely no money. What could be better than that? Essentially you could set up your online enterprise and be making money without spending a cent, other than to pay for your internet connection (which you obviously already do anyway). Making money online is first about learning how, followed by having a good web presence, and the best way to do that is by creating your very own website.

I totally agree with you when you say that good training is vital! It really is and there is no better place to get it than Wealthy Affiliate. I have never seen anything like it and it’s free to sign up. Plus, you get 2 free websites! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Sounds great for a stay at home mom like myself. What’s even better is that I can get a feel of things before I upgrade, right? I would be quite new at learning the ropes, will there be fast help if and when I need it?

It’s perfect for stay at home moms. You get access to everything for 7 days (sometimes a little longer). But even if you don’t upgrade you can still do the Getting Started training and host 2 websites for free. If you ever need help with anything, just ask the community and you’ll get plenty of answers. I really lean towards the idea of selling other peoples product online – sure beats all the wrapping and pracel making involved with ebay! The only thing is – this seems like a huge learning curve, how difficult is it to learn and do you need any sort of prior experience to succeed?
There is a bit to learn for sure, but with the right training the process is actually simpler than you might think. Wealthy Affiliate training is really easy to follow.
