Did you know that if you have a store on Shopify you can integrate it with Facebook to boost sales? Shopify stores on Facebook are proving hugely successful, where merchants are linking to their eCommerce stores directly from their Facebook business page and through Facebook’s Messenger system.

Whether you are already using Shopify, or you intend to built a store on their platform, every merchant should harness the power of Facebook to promote their stores to a potential audience of billions of Facebook users.

Let’s take a quick look at the options for the two potential outlets on Facebook.

Facebook Page

If you are in business then you really should have a Facebook page where you can connect with existing and potential customers and clientele. Assuming you have a Facebook page (or plan to create one when you open your Shopify store), Shopify has set things up in such a way that you can plug in your actual Shopify storefront directly into your Facebook page.

How cool is that!

It’s an opportunity to showcase your products to the Facebook world and increase your exposure and bottom line.

On your Facebook page you will set up a shop section where your fully integrated Shopify store displays directly on your Facebook page. This allows FB users the chance to browse your product listings without having to leave Facebook.

As more than half a billion people worldwide access Facebook via a mobile device these days, Shopify have made their FB plug in fully responsive so your store displays nicely on devices with a much smaller screen.

The one click set up makes integrating your Shopify store into your Facebook page ridiculously easy. Simple is always better.

Every time you add a new post to your FB page (or boost a post), both existing members of your page and new members will stop by to take a look. While they’re there they will check out your integrated Shopify store and see what’s on offer.

Now you can communicate with your customers through Facebook Messenger and get them to buy directly from your message with Shopify’s fantastic FB Messenger integration. Customers can even browse your catalogue through Messenger. When customers make a purchase they can track their order through Messenger, ask further questions and even get shipping updates.

This lends itself to creating a personal touch with your client base and offers them simplicity when it comes to placing orders and keeping track of the progress of their purchases.

The other major advantage is it’s yet another way that people can easily share your latest product offers and special deals. They can message your deal directly to their friends instantaneously through the Messenger app.

  1. Hi Darren

Your article on a Shopify store on Facebook is great it is a eye opener. I didn’t know that you could intergrade the store right into your Facebook page. I was just wondering if you don’t have products to sell can you still create a store on Shopify?

    • I’m pretty sure you can create any type of website on Shopify. The platform is designed for eCommerce and to make the process of getting an online store up and running super easy, but you can advertise services and other non-commerce type sites as well. Their Facebook integration is super easy and can be applied with just one click.
