~ Waiora Review ~

What Is Waiora?

This is a company that primarily sells anti-aging products. The Waiora business kicked off in 2004 and distributes its health and wellness products via the MLM method.

Attached to their line of products is a global business opportunity where people can jump on board to both use Waiora products as well as sell them to others and recruit people into the business. The best way to get sales and recruit new people is to have your own website. It’s not hard to create one if you’re shown how. Check out the training on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

The Waiora Products

The product range used to be larger, but Waiora have since trimmed is back to include just 4 core products, and they are:

  1. Healthy Aging Formula – A supplement with a powerful combination of ingredients to help fight off the effects of aging.
  2. MegaDefense – This supplement is designed to boost the body’s natural immune defences.
  3. Natural Cellular Defense – A Zeolite product that helps the body to absorb toxins, thus negating their adverse effects.
  4. Superior Fiber Blend – Dietary fiber is so important for detoxing and good health, and this supplement is jam packed full of fiber goodness.

Products sold through the MLM method are notoriously expensive and over-priced due to the nature of compensation paid to so many people. Waiora is no exception. A bottle of Healthy Aging Formula costs $85 for 60 days supply.

The MLM Business Opportunity

I really don’t like the MLM business structure because it favours the company and actually takes away most of the benefits from the distributors, the ones doing most of the work. No one gets paid a wage or retainer. More often it’s a case of the distributor paying the company for the right to promote and sell their products.

To me that’s a rort.

The distributors are often forced to purchase most of the product as well, or they won’t be eligible to earn bonuses and commissions.

Another rort.

It’s also the distributors that are forced to grow the company through constant recruitment, because the compensation structure is designed so that recruitment and building downlines is mandatory to making any decent income.

Also a rort.

These are nothing exclusive to Waiora in any way. Most MLM businesses work along these lines. That’s why so many companies choose the MLM model. It gives them so many advantages, saves them heaps of money, they have a ready-made customer base (the distributors), and their business naturally grows through all the efforts of  its workforce.

There are far better and easier ways to make money. Click here to learn more…

The Waiora Compensation Plan

Personal sales (direct sales) and recruitment are always the two main ways to earn an income with the MLM method. However, you will never really get anywhere just trying to sell over-priced products to people. The compensation plans are always set up in such a way that recruitment is necessary to have a chance to advance up the ranks to make real money. Companies do this to grow their distributor base, which in turn gives them more customers to push product onto.

Basically MLM companies want to sell products to their workforce rather than regular customers. That’s why the MLM model is so popular for businesses.

Waiora’s structure goes 15 levels deep, meaning you can earn from recruits 15 levels down. The main way to earn money in this company is via Team Commissions. These types of structures always reward those at the very top more, and actually give far less to those at the bottom; the people generally doing most of the work.

To understand the Waiora compensation plan fully, I have included a link to their official compensation page.

Is Waiora An Illegal Pyramid Scheme?

It’s not an illegal pyramid scheme despite its pyramid compensation structure. To be classified as illegal, Waiora would have to have zero products of any value, and that’s not the case.

Legal Troubles

In 2013 Waiora was forced to pay a $12 million lawsuit for making false claims regarding the ingredients in their Natural Cellular Defense product. Waiora targeted this product at people who were gravely ill, claiming the Zeolite it contained would cure their condition. Tests showed that the amount of Zeolite in the product was virtually non-existent and was mostly made of water.

Waiora have since upgraded the formula to include the advertised amount of Zeolite, which is a volcanic substance that helps the immune system as well as detoxing the body.

Target Audience

MLM targets people who love the products they are using and would like to get a start making money from a business that’s already established.

What I Like

  • The products sound interesting
  • The comp plan means you earn 15 levels deep from your downlines

What I Don’t Like

  • The company makes major false health claims and skimps on ingredients
  • The products are expensive
  • The comp plan means you have to recruit really hard to make this work
  • 95% of people completely fail at MLM
  • This is just another run of the mill MLM company selling health and wellness products in a niche that has been done to death

Waiora Is a Scam

How Much Does Waiora Cost?

It costs $14.95 per year to be a distributor for Waiora. Obviously you will need to purchase some products and business materials off the company as well to get going with it.

Is Waiora a Scam?

It’s not a scam, but they have had some dodgy dealings regarding the ingredients in their products in the past. As far as the business opportunity goes, it’s just a typical MLM set up where the company gets all the benefits and the workforce basically gets shafted.

I really don’t like MLM because it’s a very unfair compensation structure. It’s designed to make distributors do a hell of a lot of work for practically nothing and it has to be one of the toughest ways known to make money. It’s all about recruitment non-stop, and that’s where most people fail.

Forget MLM – Try Affiliate Marketing – It Works!

What Is The Laptop LifestyleI’ve done MLM in the past, but I wouldn’t do it again. These days my efforts are focused firmly on my online affiliate marketing business. It’s way easier than MLM and the money you can earn is far superior. You don’t need to sit all lofty atop a MLM pyramid to earn big bucks with affiliate marketing, and you don’t really have to recruit anyone.

People of all ages right across the globe make great money with affiliate marketing. It takes time and work, but it’s an extremely simplistic business model – the complete opposite to those mega complex MLM compensation plans that you need to be some sort of professor to figure out.
