What Is Webcopycat and How Does It Work?
WebCopyCat (WCC) is apparently a “done for you” system to make money online, brought to us by a guy called Devon Brown. His sales page opens with a video where he attempts to explain how his system works. Many of these online money making platforms just hire freelance actors and video producers to create their sales videos, and generally those videos are nothing but hype and no substance. At least Devon does his own video and he does explain what his system is about.
Devon says he does all the heavy lifting for us and has created his Webcopycat platform to help beginning marketers get started, those who have little to no experience with selling online or getting traffic to a website or landing page.
He also makes the bold statement that all anyone has to do is copy his system and they’ll be making money within a week.
Sounds a little too good to be true to me.
As the name of his platform suggests, Devon and his crew have done everything for us. They have created everything required from start to finish. Basically all we have to do is join, pay for a few upsells and everything will be set up for us so we can sit back and start counting the cash in a week’s time.
Basically all you are doing is buying into Devon’s formula so you can replicate that formula and then sell the exact same formula to others as an affiliate. Webcopycat is the product and everyone who joins just sells the product. In other words, all that’s getting sold here is the system. The system isn’t actually creating money making opportunities independent of, or outside the system.

Target Audience
Definitely targeted at beginners for sure, as platforms that only sell themselves usually are. The system is more simplistic in nature and easier to work with when no outside selling is required. Just join the product and sell the product. Very basic, but not much scope for future growth. It’s all a wash, rinse, repeat setup.
Tools and Training
Once in you will sit through Devon’s video where he explains what Webcopycat is all about. He will take you through the steps in his done for you system and explain how it will make you money. After that you will be introduced to some marketing terminology, such as traffic, opt in forms, landing pages, autoresponders and upsells.
Now you will be shown a sales funnel, where Devon explains how long it would take you to set this up yourself (without Webcopycat) and how much money you would spend on production. But he’s giving this all to you for a fraction of the price. You will need to pay money for an email marketing company to handle the email autoresponder you need to run this operation, so with something like GetResponse (which I use), it will set you back at least $15 a month on top of the $34.95 a month Devon charges you to remain a member of Webcopycat.
Once you’re set up and ready to go, you can start earning money. Everything you make is split 50/50 with Devon. So every time someone new joins up, you get half of the monthly fee.
Now comes the part I really love.
You’ve joined Webcopycat, sat through the video, set up your sales funnel and are ready to start promoting Webcopycat to others. But where does the traffic magically come from all of a sudden?
You now have to BUY done for you traffic, at prices of $897 up to $1800!
Wow! The price suddenly skyrocketed. You’re paying about $1 per visitor to your landing page. The conversion rate better be awesome, because you’re only making half of $34.95 per month of everyone you sell on the idea.
That’s expensive traffic which is probably being sold to everyone who joins, as in the same people will keep being hammered with the same offer, so not very effective for potential conversions. A system that is done for you so beginners can get started, starts out at a mere dollar, then the monthly fee, then the autoresponder, then the massive prices for paid traffic before you can even begin to hope to make money.
What I Like
- The $1 10 day trial and money back guarantee
- It’s all done for you
- Devon at least does his own videos and explains what his system is about
- It’s an idea that’s “not too bad”
What I Don’t Like
- The cost of the paid traffic is very high
- The commission split is okay, but not enough to cover the costs of paying for traffic
- The only thing for sale here is the system itself. It’s almost like a Ponzi scheme, except there is an actual product (well sort of)
- You are essentially paying money to promote an affiliate product rather than the other way around
- Where does this paid traffic come from and is it all dead leads that won’t convert?
- The real money for Devon and his team here is in the paid traffic side of things
How Much Does Webcopycat Cost?
It’s $1 for a 10 day trial, then $34.95 per month after that. You will also need an email autoresponder, which will cost around $15 a month, plus pay heavily for traffic, say close to $1000 at least. So it all starts to get very pricey in the end.
Is Webcopycat a Scam?
I wouldn’t say it’s an outright scam, but it is a little dodgy, as in you are paying to be an affiliate, you are paying a high price for paid traffic, and there is no actual product changing hands. All Devon has created is a sales funnel designed for you and I to get more people into that funnel, and so it goes on. You can check out WebCopyCat here.

Thanks for this great review about webcopycat. Like you I’m very cautious when a program claims they will do everything for you — and also saying you can make money within a week.
One this doesn’t teach you any skills, and two your usually having to buy traffic to make these systems work which can also get costly as shown here.
I think I’ll stick to creating my own website and driving my own traffic — that way I know exactly where my traffic is coming from, and also help me save money.
In my experience any program that promises big money, in quick time and for little effort is either a scam, or something that’s just not worth bothering with. They are simply telling people what they want to hear so they can get their money. I don’t consider WebCopyCat a complete scam, but they do speak a lot of hyped up BS that just isn’t realistic.
What you’re doing is the way to go. Get that free, organic traffic first, then you can scale things up with other tactics. It’s important to also build that experience llevel before getting into things like paid traffic and so on.
