What Is Bitcoin Reward?
For anyone who spends any significant amount of time on the internet, you would have come across various rewards sites where you can earn very small amounts of money for completing mundane tasks like surveys, watching ads and so on. Sites like Timebucks and Daily Rewards come to mind.
Well, Bitcoin Reward is the same type of idea, only instead of paying out with cash through PayPal or gift cards, they pay out in Bitcoin.
That’s the only major difference.
Rewards sites like this one are okay, and you can earn a little bit of extra “coin”, but if the goal is to make significant, or at least useful cash, then you will just be wasting your time with Bitcoin Reward.
How It Works
In order to join Bitcoin Reward you must first have a Bitcoin wallet. If you don’t have one, it’s pretty easy to organise. Just shoot on over to CoinBase and set one up there. You need the Bitcoin Wallet in order to be paid your rewards. It’s kind of like having a PayPal account for Bitcoin.
Opening an account at Bitcoin Reward is free. Just fill in your profile information and you’re good to go to start earning rewards.
Ways To Earn At Bitcoin Reward
There are a number of ways you can earn on this platforms, and we’ll briefly go over them.
Surveys
The interesting thing about Bitcoin Reward, is they are not the platform offering the surveys. They are acting as a third party portal, connecting you with surveys from other online paid survey providers. Surveys don’t pay much for your time, but they do make it clear the approximate time to complete the survey and how much you’ll earn.
Watching Videos
This can be tedious and boring, but it’s not particularly hard. You’ll only earn about 100 Satoshi for about 5 minutes of viewing. If you don’t know what Satoshi is or what it’s worth, we’ll cover than in the next section.
Completing Offers
There are offers that are completely free while others are a free trial, leading to a paid option down the track. Again, you won’t earn much for completing an offer or joining a mailing list. You also have to be mindful that some offers are a trial, and you need to cancel them before the trial period is up or you will start getting billed.
Refer Others to Bitcoin Reward
This is likely the most profitable course of action to take with this platform. For every new member you refer, you’ll earn 50% of what they earn for however long they remain active on Bitcoin reward. Now while the rewards for each task are really small, if you can refer enough people who are active on the site, then it could turn into a handy little side income.
How Much Bitcoin Can You Earn?
Bitcoin Reward state that you can earn an average of 0.0025 BTC per task completed, but most tasks are way under this amount by a long way. Rewards are paid in Satoshi, which is smaller portions of Bitcoin, kind of like cents in the dollar. When it comes to surveys the rewards vary. The longer the survey, the more it usually pays.

As you can see, it’s not worth much. As an example, if you complete a task that pays only 100 Satoshi, you only earn 0.00000100 in Bitcoin.
The minimum level for a payout is 30,000 Satoshi. Once you reach the threshold, payments are held for several weeks while things are verified, then the coin is released into your Bitcoin wallet.

- It can take ages to reach a payout level
- You get paid very little for your time and effort
- You need to organise a Bitcoin wallet if you don’t already have one
- Once a payout level is reached, you still have to wait weeks to receive your payment

Is Bitcoin Reward a Scam?
I don’t see any scam here. It’s just a typical style of rewards site that chooses to pay its members in Bitcoin instead of money. The Bitcoin side of things is probably more of a gimmick than anything else, to get people interested.
Any type of rewards site, whether it’s Bitcoin rewards or some other, is not a very good trade off for your valuable time.
If the goal is to make REAL money, then there are other things you could be doing that will pay you a lot more than this platform.
