~ The Laptop Entrepreneurs Review ~

What Is The Laptop Entrepreneurs?

Is The Laptop Entrepreneurs a ScamThis platform is promoted as a way for people to learn how to build a successful online business. It’s brought to us by 4 online entrepreneurs named Christopher Hall, Gerald Hall, Merrilee Watson and Sandrine Hecq. They call themselves “The Lifestyle Team”.

When you visit their website and watch their video, you’ll notice that they’re all quite young.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re talking about, as the internet has given birth to many a young entrepreneur since its inception.

The main sales video features the two young women, Sandrine and Merrilee. On YouTube the video has proven to be mega popular and currently has over 1,800,000 views. The video is quite well done and seems very believable.

However, The Laptop Entrepreneurs website and training isn’t really promoting something these 4 entrepreneurs own or created. It’s merely a funnel into another program that these guys and gals are affiliates of. I do affiliate marketing for a living and you can learn more about how to get started here.

What This Is Really About

Christopher, Gerald, Sandrine and Merrilee are affiliates of another online training and business platform called “Six Figure Mentors”. I’ve actually previously written a review on the Six Figure Mentors program.

The Laptop Entrepreneurs website simply funnels people over to Six Figure Mentors, where, if you decide to join that platform, these four people earn a commission as affiliates of SFM.

There’s nothing wrong with that, and I don’t mind SFM, but really these people should be more upfront about what they are really doing. They don’t have their own money making system and they don’t have their own training.

Many affiliate sites employ this deceptive tactic, making out like they’ve developed their own system, only to funnel you directly into something else. MOBE affiliates do this all the time, as do those promoting Aspire. It’s pretty common, but I don’t think it’s the right way to go about earning commissions as an affiliate marketer.

This business is all about building trust, and if you deceive people, you lose that all-important trust.

Follow a proven blueprint to online business success!

What Is Six Figure Mentors About?

It’s somewhat of a MLM scheme, which generally I’m not a big fan of. However, I do make a bit of an exception with SFM because much of their training in making money online is actually pretty good.

The thing people generally don’t like about platforms like Six Figure Mentors, MOBE and others, is they are all designed to sell themselves and not really anything else. Meaning, you join SFM and then make money promoting SFM and earning commissions when people buy in.

There’s no focus on learning business with their training and then going off and doing something else with it. Although you most certainly can, but that’s not encouraged on these types of platforms because they want you to put your heart and soul into selling their platform only.

With SFM there is a whole variety of training programs you can individually purchase. You can’t advance with the training until you purchase the next package.

The thing is though, as an affiliate, you can make money on every single purchase your referrals make. It can get pretty expensive if you really want to go through all of the training.

Tools and Training

There is lots of it if you decide to join SFM, either through the affiliates at The Laptop Entrepreneurs website, or directly through the SFM site. They have:

  • Live events
  • Webinars
  • Community support forums
  • Private coaching and mentoring
  • Digital business lounge
  • Handy business tools

If you go and read my review on Six Figure Mentors it goes into more detail.

Target Audience

The Laptop Entrepreneurs are trying to tap into a market of people that are looking for an online alternative to making money in the offline world. Anyone who wants to make extra money might be attracted to this.

What I Like

  • I like the presentation on  their website and their sales video
  • Six Figure Mentors is not too bad a platform
  • Lots of good training at SFM

What I Don’t Like

  • The marketing is deceptive
  • The team of 4 should be more upfront about what they are offering
  • SFM gets really expensive
  • The Laptop Entrepreneurs don’t have any of their own training
  • The Laptop Entrepreneurs website is nothing more than a funnel into SFM

How Much Does The Laptop Entrepreneurs Cost?

When you join this platform you are really paying to join SFM, which costs $29.95 for the application fee to become a member. After that come all the upsells, where you will be paying X amount per month or per year, depending on the module you wish to buy into. To go all in will cost you close to $30k.

Is The Laptop Entrepreneurs a Scam?

I don’t believe either site is a scam. In fact I don’t mind Six Figure Mentors. The 4 online entrepreneurs that present us with The Laptop Entrepreneurs program seem like nice enough people, but they are being deceptive when they claim they have their very own money making system.

I would rather they were more honest and transparent.

It’s up to you if you want to get involved in SFM, but be warned that it can work out pretty costly.

My #1 Recommendation and Sincere Advice To You

I do affiliate marketing online and these days I make a fulltime living from it. You can too, at a fraction of the price you will spend on something like SFM. The training I did that led to my success showed me exactly what to do in a step by step process. I could even earn as I learned, which is pretty cool.

The training kicks off with a free trial. To learn more about it and affiliate marketing in general, just click on the banner below and read my review.

  1. I found the content of your sight to be very engaging. I also believe they should be up front and honest about what they are trying to sell.
It sounds as if you have tried some of SFM’s products if so, did you gain very much knowledge from them that helps you in your current state?
What led you to check into the Laptop Entrepreneur’s sight?

    • I just heard a few mentions of The Laptop Entrepreneurs, and I’d previously written a review on SFM about a year before. SFM is pretty expensive to get involved in, but I had a good look at it at the time. It didn’t sound too bad, and all The Laptop Entrepreneurs are doing is funneling people into Six Figure Mentors so they can earn affiliate commissions. Nothing wrong witht hat so long as you’re upfront about what you’re really promoting.
