What Is Responsive Media and How Does It Work?
Ads from a company called Responsive Media seem to be everywhere on job boards all over the internet, and they’ve been around for quite some time. What they advertise is great work from home opportunities. Not as a business owner, but as a worker doing menial tasks such as emailing and date entry. The kind of tasks people often hire a VA (virtual assistant) to do.
The thing that always screams dodgy to me is the ridiculous claims of how much money people can make doing these jobs. I mean, if they quoted in their ads figures like 10-15 dollars an hour it would sound believable, but to state you can be making $5000 a week every week performing these tasks is just outrageous!
The ads will be displayed in online classifieds and job boards with titles like “Work From Home”, “Jobs At Home” and “Home Workers Wanted”.
If you actually click on some of these ads they simply ask for your name and email address. Other times you’ll be redirected to some seemingly-unrelated website trying to sell you a membership into a training program. There are even complaints from job seekers claiming that when they applied for a data entry job, for example, they were asked to pay money for registration fees before they could actually be sent any work.
So, let me understand how this works. These jobs are supposed to be “JOBS”, not a business opportunity. You’re either out of work or need to make some extra coin, so you apply for a job you see online advertised by Responsive Media. Instead of actually getting a job, doing the work and getting paid, you actually have to PAY THEM for the job!

Some affiliates of other programs are actually using this tactic to lure people into expensive training programs; which are more online business opportunities than actual paying jobs. These training platforms are fine of themselves, but this kind of underhanded tactic is extremely deceptive. And kind of pointless.
People looking for actual paid work are not usually looking to spend money on expensive online business training, or they simply don’t have any funds to pay for it even if they wanted to.
Those job ads that ask for your name and email will start pitching you “get rich quick” opportunities rather than jobs. These people are preying on those who are hard up for cash and using click bait job ads to lure unsuspecting victims into their sales funnels.
Unfortunately it’s these dodgy, unscrupulous scammers that give genuine internet marketers a really bad name.

People looking for work. Those with no money and in desperate need of an opportunity, or people who need extra cash and want to be able to earn it in their own time at home.

- Your email will be bombarded with upsells for other programs
Tools and Training
The only tools and training you will receive is if you buy into one of the programs these scammers are trying to sell. You won’t receive any tools and training for the actual so-called jobs advertised by Responsive Media.

How Much Does Responsive Media Cost?
It depends. Some of these scammers charge you something up front, under the ruse that it’s for the job you are applying for. What the payment will really be for is to join whatever training program the person is peddling.
Is Responsive Media a Scam?
It’s an absolute scam! No doubt about it. All the actual advertised jobs are totally fake. They don’t exist. It’s a bunch of marketers using click bait tactics to lure people into sales funnels to pitch them expensive upsells.
This practice of preying on needy jobseekers just to try and sell them something entirely different – where they have to spend money and not make money like they need –is incredibly dishonest and actually quite disgusting if you really think about it.
If you come across any ads by Responsive Media, or ads that simply sound far too good to be true, don’t fall for them and don’t give up your personal details to them. Just stay well away.
Make REAL Money Online From Home Like I Do!
If you are looking for a job, unfortunately I can’t help you out with that. If you are a writer, computer programmer, graphic designer or even want to work as a VA, you could cold email some businesses to see if they have any paid work to send you as a freelancer. Possible web designers and SEO companies.
I work for myself online. I do a bit of freelance writing on the side, but my main gig is affiliate marketing. It’s such an easy business and you can actually get started with very little money.
It also costs hardly anything to run, because all you’re really doing is promoting existing products and getting paid a commission by the company or retailer when a sale is made through your promotions. You don’t actually do any buying and selling.
If you need money in a hurry, then affiliate marketing won’t help you, as it takes a bit of time to get rolling with it. However, if you are in a position (or find yourself in a position down the track) to consider establishing a profitable, long-term online business, then affiliate marketing is hard to beat.

People on low incomes and pensioners can be so easily conned when they are desperate to earn some money. Unfortunately there are so many dirty rotten scams out there that prey on people in bad situations where they are desperate for money. This is one of the worst I’ve come across, advertising fake jobs and actually getting people to pay money they don’t have to appy for a job they desperately need to get. It’s one of the reasons I run this website, to warn people about these scams and not to get caught up in them.
