What Is The Best WordPress Hosting Service

If you’ve been wondering what is the best WordPress hosting service, I’m here to help you out with that.

For starters, to get the most out of your WordPress site, you will want to go for managed WordPress hosting.

Why?

Because it’s all round better. If you run one or more WordPress sites, then managed hosting is really a must. Let’s take a look at some of the advantages:

  • Website pages load at blazing speed
  • Increased website stability with more uptime
  • Dedicated security crafted specifically for the WordPress platform
  • More developer tools
  • More room for expansion and site growth
  • Dedicated servers with less sites sharing the same server
  • Automatic site backups

These advantages not only benefit you, your website and your business in general, they also lead to a better user experience.

When people visit your website, the ideal is for them to hang around as long as possible, either leading to a purchase or a business lead. This is more likely to happen if your website’s pages load quickly. Just that one fact alone can make a major difference to conversions. Managed hosting will guarantee much faster loading speeds.

Now let’s take a look at some hosting companies I recommend for managed WordPress hosting. We will briefly check out 3 hosting companies, starting at the top with my #1 recommendation through to the cheapest WordPress managed hosting.

#1 – WP Engine

WP Engine are specialists. They do nothing else but host WordPress sites. Their entire platform is run by WordPress enthusiasts who live and breathe this popular CMS. What this equates to is the very best managed WordPress hosting available in my opinion.

Out of the three listed in this post WP Engine are the most expensive, however they are still very affordable. But what you get for your money is a partnership with a team of WordPress experts who are on hand 24/7/365 days of the year!

Their website is easy to navigate, the hosting plans are concise and clear, and you are dealing with a company that has slowly been building in momentum for more than a decade. If you care about the speed, stability, security and longevity of your websites, WP Engine is certainly the hosting company of choice.

Managed WordPress hosting plans with WP Engine start at just $29.99 per month.

#2 – Bluehost

Bluehost also offer a fantastic managed WordPress hosting option in their suite of hosting packages. Bluehost’s prices start out a little cheaper at $19.99 per month, but it has to be pointed out that this company does not specialise in WordPress hosting alone.

Managed WP hosting is just one of the many strings to Bluehost’s bow. They mainly target more budget generic hosting, which is a free-for-all to accommodate anyone and everyone wanting to host websites (created on a variety of platforms) on their servers.

Bluehost is an extremely popular website hosting platform because they offer such great packages at the very lowest prices. Out of all the generic hosting companies that offer hosting for all and sundry, Bluehost is my pick of the bunch.

Their managed WordPress hosting is first class, despite the fact that they offer general hosting, and certainly well worth considering.

#3 – SiteGround

This company offer the cheapest managed WordPress hosting I could find, with their prices starting at a mere $3.95 a month. It is to be noted that the special prices for managed hosting at SiteGround are for new users. Once you renew your hosting the price almost doubles.

SiteGround are a good option for those seeking dedicated WP hosting on a budget. They don’t offer as many features as WP Engine and Bluehost, but at least you get your WP sites hosted on servers designed to handle this platform, and servers that aren’t shared with every other website on the planet.

They do offer great site loading speed and some pretty slick security measures, but if you have the budget, I’d suggest choosing one of the other two for your managed WordPress hosting.

The Wrap

In answer to the question asked in the title of this post, WP Engine offer the best WordPress hosting service. This is just my opinion. If you know of a managed WordPress hosting service that is really good that I haven’t mentioned, be sure to let us know about it in the comments below.

  1. Hi,

Thank you for writing this review. As a newbie it is something that I have always been a little confused about.

I know that word press is the best place to build a site but I had always been a little concerned with the technical aspects of hosting the site.

In your opinion is the support offered at WP Engine worth the price tag?

    Thanks

    Neil

    • WP Engine are specialists, and therefore offer one of the very best platforms for managed WordPress hosting. I think they are worth the price if you have sites that are growing in traffic numbers and sites that generate income.

  2. Hello,
I read all full reviews about three recommended options. I understand that WP is your number one choice. I just do not have much traffic, and I do not need superb quality. But in the future, I hope to choose the best from the best.
And here is the question – can I change from one hosting company to another, say to WP?
And is it difficult, risky? Or do they provide help with transferring to their hosting?
    Thanks for the review!

    • I don’t think it’s too hard to change your host and move your website. However, I’ve never tried. I know Bluehost and WP Engine have a service to do this for you. Whether they charge a fee for this or not I’m not certain.
