Is Point Club a scam? Can you make decent money by participating in paid surveys on Point Club, or are they just another platform that pays out in peanuts? I was asked to look into this one, so I wrote my thoughts in a review.

What Is Point Club Surveys?
Operated by Innovative Market Research (the same company that run iPoll Surveys), Point Club is yet another in a long line of paid survey platforms. This one actually offers a sign up bonus of $5 the moment you join, kick starting your account so you can reach a payout threshold sooner rather than later.
Paid surveys are really a no brainer way of earning small rewards for your time. Anyone can do them. It’s all very easy. Best of all, you can work at your own pace from the comfort of home.
While you can make some money on platforms like this, it's generally a pretty poor exchange for your valuable time; time you can never get back.

How It Works
Let’s take a look at the process of how this site works.
First you obviously need to create an account. Once you’ve filled in your basic details you will then be required to answer some additional questions so Point Club can learn more about you and your interests. This helps them to better match you up with relevant surveys. This process is known as your profile survey.
Once you have completed the sign up process and have answered the questions to complete your profile, your account will be credited with your starting $5.
Now it’s time to start earning by choosing from the list of available surveys. When you complete surveys you will earn rewards points for your time. It’s these points that you later redeem for a payout.
Each survey will vary both in length and rewards points, but generally the longer surveys pay more than the shorter ones do.
The Rewards
First, here’s how the points system works. Every 1000 points = US $1.00. The average survey earns you anywhere from 200 points to 2000 points. Some longer surveys might earn you double that, but that’s the average. So the average equates to 20 cents to $2 per survey successfully completed.
There are several ways you can redeem your rewards points:
- Gift Cards
- PayPal Cash
In order to redeem your rewards points for gift cards, you need to reach 10,000 points (or $10). Gift cards include places like Walmart and companies like Microsoft XBOX. For PayPal that figure increases to 25,000 points (or $25).
I like the way there is an option for getting paid out in real money. Many survey platforms only offer gift cards and subscriptions to online magazines and stuff.
You can also earn some small rewards for completing a variety of other mundane tasks, such as trial offers, playing games, watching videos and so on.

Some Downsides To Paid Surveys
Just about all surveys will have a series of qualifying questions before you do the actual paid part of the survey. This is to make sure you are relevant to the survey questions. If you get screened out during the qualifying phase you earn nothing. Some companies take advantage of this, asking heaps of questions before screening you out and essentially getting loads of free data.
Also, the rewards are always really low for the amount of time you spend answering questions. On average, if you could continually do surveys one after the other, you may only make between $3 to $5 an hour, so not great pay in the Western World.

Anyone looking to make some spare time cash online. It’s a good way for people to make their first dollars online and know that making money on the internet is possible.
What I Like
- It’s an easy to navigate platform and everything is straightforward
- It’s run by the same people who run iPoll, and that platform is okay
- You can earn cash and not just gift cards
What I Don’t Like
- There are a lot of complaints about the surveys being hard to qualify for, or having rewards points taken off you after successfully completing a survey
- Paid surveys are a poor way to swap time for money as the payouts are so low
- You get screened out of surveys often, wasting your valuable time
- There are not many surveys available
- Some claim the customer support is not very responsive or helpful

Point Club is totally free to join and they even reward you for signing up. There are no hidden fees that I’m aware of.
Is Point Club a Scam?
It’s not a scam, although there are numerous complaints out there. However, you get that with just about any company. Experiences vary.
From my personal point of view, surveys are a good way to make your first dollar online, but a really poor way to spend your time if the goal is to make decent income on the internet. Point Club is worth trying if you want your first taste of doing paid surveys, but to take things to the next level and earn what you deserve, read below…
