What Is Rain International?
Started by Founder and CEO Byron Belka back in 2009, Rain International is yet another MLM company selling health and wellness products and supplements. Because this niche is so saturated, many companies try to find a more unique angle to differentiate their products from the rest. In the case of Rain International, their focus is on “seed nutrition”.
The company uses the logic that healthy plants first get their nutrition to grow from seeds. Therefore it must be the actual seeds that contain the highest concentration of nutrients.
Rain International sees itself as a global movement, improving the world’s overall health and sustainability.

The Products
Rain International have labelled their main product “Soul”, and claim their products are the first of their kind in the health marketplace. Essentially their products derive their base nutrients from 3 particular seeds:
- Black Cumin Seed
- Black Raspberry Seed
- Chardonnay Grape Seed
Soul is a supplement drink which combines the goodness of all 3 seeds. They also have another one called “Core”. This one combines seeds with other substances such as Aloe Vera and Spirulina.
Rain International state, according to various studies, that their products can help with the following:
- Neutralises free radicals in the body
- Improves muscle health and flexibility
- Increases energy reserves
- Supports overall good health
The MLM Business Opportunity
This review is more about the business opportunity attached to Rain International, as they choose to promote and distribute their products through direct marketing and MLM.
There isn’t any focus here on selling products retail. It’s more of a buying club, where distributors are encouraged to buy and use the products.
It’s one of my pet hates with the MLM method. All the advantages go to the company while they basically exploit their workforce with the promise of a big pay day somewhere down the line. Essentially MLM companies assemble a vast and free workforce that does all the selling and promoting, is often forced to buy products, and grows the business through constant recruiting.
It’s a beautiful business model for the company, but a really bad deal for distributors.
It still amazes me that MLM attracts so many hordes of people hungry to sell the products. The industry figures show that 95% of all people who try a MLM business fail within 12 months.

The Compensation Plan
There are always two main ways to earn with multi level marketing:
- Direct sales
- Recruitment
That’s the very core of just about all MLM businesses, with the main emphasis being on recruiting others into the business.
Why?
So the company grows its workforce while at the same time increasing its customer base. It’s a well known fact that the majority of MLM companies practically force their own distributors to buy a certain amount of product every month to remain eligible to earn commissions and bonuses. This kind of extortion, basically, guarantees that the company always makes sales and makes money. There’s very little need to go the retail route when you can simply demand that your workforce buys all your products, while at the same time expanding your worker/customer base for you.
Anyway, Rain International have chosen the binary method for their compensation plan, where you build a left and right leg of your downline.

As usual with MLM there are all sorts of bonuses you can earn along the way, such as leadership bonuses, group bonuses, volume bonus, rank achievement bonuses and so on. Also, the bigger you can grow your downline, the more residual commissions you stand to earn.

Is Rain International An Illegal Pyramid Scheme?
To be classified as an illegal pyramid scheme, the company must operate on what’s referred to as a naked pyramid structure. This means that, apart from relying totally on recruitment to bring in money, the company also has no real products.
Rain International doesn’t have much, but they do have actual products, so they can escape the tag of pyramid scam.
Target Audience
MLM targets people who are either passionate about the actual products, or are looking to get involved in a business that’s already established, or both.
What I Like
- I guess the seed nutrition is a bit of a new take on things and does make sense
What I Don’t Like
- As always with MLM, the products are way over-priced
- Health and wellness is the most competitive niche by far in the MLM industry
- All the advantages go to the company and not distributors
- 95% of people fail with MLM
- Most people make no money, and those that do only average $500 a year before expenses
- You have to recruit like crazy to make money in any MLM venture
- MLM is one of the hardest ways to earn an income
How Much Does Rain International Cost?
To get started as an associate (distributor) for Rain International, you first have to purchase one of their business packs. The cheapest one of the four available is the Business Builder kit, which costs $249. This gives you some samples, business materials, plus a replica website for your business.
Is Rain International a Scam?
It’s not a scam, and there is some truth in the seed technology behind their core products. However, from a business perspective, if you join RI as an associate, you’ll be up against some stiff competition when it comes to sales and recruitment, as there are literally hundreds of MLM companies operating within this super saturated niche market.
Honestly, there are far easier and better ways to make an income than with MLM, which many consider to be one of the hardest ways of all.
Forget MLM – Make Money With Affiliate Marketing Instead
I prefer to do affiliate marketing to make my living. It takes time and effort, but it’s a way simpler business model than MLM and a way easier method of earning income.
Let’s look at just a brief list of some of the advantages affiliate marketing has over multi level marketing:

Little to no recruiting required
- You are not forced to buy products
- No direct selling of products
- Work entirely online from home or anywhere
- Set up multiple sources of income
- Much of your income becomes passive
- Spend more time with your loved ones
- Promote practically any product you like to a worldwide audience
There are more advantages than those listed above. That’s just a select few.

I’m a representative of rain. And I can assure you that the products do works wonders. As a matter of fact I do use them and so does members of my family, I have been off medication thanks to Rain. My father in law is also on Rain and his health went from a bit good to much more better .
So please place your facts right
