What Is PrizeRebel?

Prizerebel Is a ScamPrizeRebel is another rewards type of site similar to things like Swagbucks. Basically you earn rewards for performing menial, everyday tasks that many of us might do online regularly anyway. These kinds of sites are often referred to as “get paid to” (GPT) sites, meaning you get paid small rewards to do the tasks.

The company has been going since 2007, so that’s a good sign that things are above board for the most part and that people do actually get paid. Scams don’t generally last that long before they’re called out and shut down.

As far as I’m concerned PrizeRebel is a legitimate way to earn some extra money on the side. You just won’t be able to earn a lot with it.

You can receive payouts in actual cash via PayPal, or opt to redeem your rewards points for gift cards from Amazon, iTunes and Walmart. There are plenty of other gift cards you can redeem your points for as well, but these are the major ones.

Ways To Earn Rewards

Unlike websites that specialise in paid surveys only, on PrizeRebel you have a number of options to earn rewards on the platform. Let’s briefly list those ways:

  • Paid surveys
  • Completing offers
  • Performing tasks
  • Watching videos
  • Games and contests
  • Points to visit websites
  • Refer others to PrizeRebel

As mentioned, you can earn rewards points that you can redeem for cash or gift cards for getting involved in all of the above tasks, but you just won’t earn very much for your time. That’s standard right across the board for rewards sites like this and paid surveys as well. The trade off for your time is not very profitable.

Still, something like PrizeRebel can be a good way to get your first taste of making money on the internet.

With the referral program you earn 20% of all rewards your referrals earn, and that’s not just a one-off, but for however long your referrals remain active members.

The minimum payment threshold is only $5, so you can request a payout fairly quickly. Other sites set the threshold usually at around the $20 mark.

100 rewards points is equal to $1.

Here's how I make 10k per month online!

How It Works

You either create an account directly on the site, or you can simply log in with your Facebook account for the sake of convenience. Once you have your account you can explore the dashboard and start earning rewards points right away.

Although the platform is open to a worldwide audience, when you do the paid surveys, they are mostly focused on people from the USA and Canada. Often people from other countries will be screened out. However, even if that happens, you can take up some free offers, play games, watch videos and perform various other tasks to earn rewards.

Referring others to PrizeRebel would likely be a better way to go, as you can earn small amounts of passive income from your directly referred members. Get enough of them and it could equal a tidy little monthly sum.

Target Audience

It’s a good way for newcomers to making money online to earn some coin. It will give people the belief that you can actually make real money on the internet.

What I Like

  • They have a referral program
  • You can earn in a number of ways and not just by doing surveys
  • The platform has been around since 2007
  • The payout threshold is set low at only $5
  • You can earn actual cash

What I Don’t Like

  • You won’t earn very much for your time
  • PrizeRebel make out like you can earn $10 in under half an hour, but that’s not really possible
  • It’s not a very wise way to spend your time if the goal is to make useful spending money

How Much Does PrizeRebel Cost?

It doesn’t cost anything to join PrizeRebel. Totally free. Be careful of signing up for free offers on the platform though, as most of the businesses with the offers ask for your credit card details. Once the free trial is over, they will start billing you card unless you remember to cancel the deal.

Is PrizeRebel a Scam?

I don’t see any scam here. It’s free to join, they pay in real cash or with hundreds of different gift cards, and you can cash out at just $5 if you desire. As far as rewards sites goes, PrizeRebel looks just as good as any of them.

But like I said before, if the goal is to trade your time for decent money, then give rewards sites like PrizeRebel a miss. You’ll be lucky to earn a few dollars per hour. Read below for something much better.
